Metronidazole is an antibiotic and antigenic agent. Mainly used for the treatment or prevention of systemic or local infections caused by anaerobe, such as abdominal cavity, digestive tract, female reproductive system, lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue, bone and joint and other parts of the anaerobe infection, sepsis, endocarditis, meningeal infection and the use of antibiotics caused by colitis is also effective.
