Application: 

Industry
It is the main raw material for the production of lithopone and zinc salt, and can also be used as a mordant for printing and dyeing, a preservative for wood and leather, and an important auxiliary raw material for the production of viscose fiber and vinylon fiber. In addition, it is also used in electroplating and electrolysis industries, and can also be used to manufacture cables.
Cooling water in industry is the largest amount of water. The cooling water in the closed circulating cooling system cannot corrode and scale the metal, so it needs to be treated. This process is called water quality stabilization, and zinc sulfate is used as water quality stabilizer here. 
Medicine
Oral zinc sulfate can correct zinc deficiency and restore the function of enzyme system. Zinc ion can precipitate protein, and external use has astringent and antiseptic effect, and can help granulation tissue formation. Medicinal zinc sulfate is suitable for treating enteropathic acrodermatitis, aphtha, chronic ulcer, conjunctivitis, etc. caused by zinc deficiency. However, sharing with penicillamine can weaken the effect of the latter. Zinc sulfate monohydrate can be used as zinc supplement in feed.
Agriculture
It can be used to prevent diseases in fruit tree nurseries, and is also a common fertilizer to supplement zinc trace element fertilizer for crops. It can be used as base fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, etc. Zinc is one of the essential nutrient elements for plants. Maize is prone to white-flowered seedlings due to zinc deficiency. When it is seriously deficient in zinc, it will stop growing and even die. Especially for some sandy loam soil or fields with high pH value, zinc fertilizer such as zinc sulfate should be added. The increase of zinc fertilizer has the effect of increasing production. Fertilization method: 0.04~0.06 kg zinc fertilizer, 1 kg water, 10 kg seed mixing, and 2~3 hours composting. Before sowing, zinc fertilizer shall be applied to the rhizosphere layer, 0.75~1 kg per mu. If the leaves are pale at the seedling stage, zinc fertilizer can be sprayed, with a dosage of 0.1 kg per mu.
