What is Polyethylene Glycol ?
Polyethylene glycol is a polymer which is hydrolyzed by ethylene oxide. Polyethylene glycol is also known as polyoxirane (PEO). Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a binder, solvent, plasticizing agent, and softener widely used for cosmetic cream bases and pharmaceutical ointments.
Used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemical fiber, rubber, paper, paint, electroplating, pesticides, metal processing and food processing industries. It is used as a matrix in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, and as a dispersant and lubricant in the rubber, metal processing, pesticide and other industries.
